December 11 marked Merrill Lynch’s regional employees annual “Day of Service.” Pictured above are members of the Merrill Lynch Eastern Pennsylvania PMD program who decorated the Children’s Advocacy Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania and its adjacent Teen Advocacy Center for Christmas. In addition, the Merrill Lynch team, chaired by Megan Alpert, Maria Sordoni, and Kevin Bender, made a significant contribution to CAC/NEPA for the purchase of tickets to the “Happy Elf” for child victims of abuse and neglect. Mary Ann LaPorta, Executive Director of CAC/NEPA, said, “The generosity of the Merrill Lynch team will have a direct impact on so many this holiday season. Many child victims will have a brighter Christmas because of this team of dedicated men and women.”

When it comes to making a difference in improving children’s lives, there is a place for everyone to contribute. Child abuse and neglect is a community problem. Child care and protection is a community responsibility.
